The Impatient Photographer

Hello! I’m Elizabeth, a photographer based in Rutland, UK.

Why are you an ‘impatient photographer’? you might ask. Let me try to explain.

My photography has always encompassed a variety of styles and subjects. The common thread throughout all my work is a sense of fleeting beauty – often unexpected, often a little odd – found in the everyday things we might otherwise walk past without a second thought.

I love it when my photos tell stories, especially when those stories pique one’s curiosity by refusing to provide all the answers. The trick – and the real joy of it – comes in noticing those tales without having to wait for the ‘perfect conditions’ to create them. It is about spotting the wonder and humour that is always around us, just waiting for us to slow down long enough to notice.

‘Impatient’ is perhaps a bit of a contradiction then. Saying that, I find that most forms of art often are.

If you like my work and want to show your appreciation, please consider giving me a small tip on my Ko-Fi page by using the link at the top right of the page.

Thank You.
